ABOUT THE SATURDAY FITZROY MARKET

THE FITZROY MARKET & THE FITZROY MILLS MARKET – 75 ROSE ST FITZROY.

We operate weekly in our much-loved collaboration with The Fitzroy Mills Market.  We have created a one-stop hub for everything produce, food, artisan, handcrafted, vintage, second hand and local.  Boasting over 70 stalls, it is the ultimate Saturday ritual for the local community and all Melbourne market-lovers.  The two markets are in one location and is all-year round, this market destination is held every Saturday from 9am-2pm.  Locals, regulars and weekend visitors can shop direct from local farmers, eat delicious food, meet friends for coffee, buy vintage and handcrafted clothing,  peruse pre-loved treasures, support local artisans and listen to live music.

Every Saturday – 9am to 2pm

The collaboration between the Fitzroy Mills Market & The Fitzroy Market is a vibrant weekly event, on Rose Street in the heart of Fitzroy.  This weekly Saturday market is housed in the iconic Fitzroy Mills, on Rose Street. Located a few steps from the Rose Street Artist’s market.

The forecast isn’t too favaourable for us but fingers crossed we have a good day.  Please keep an eye on the weather forecast and prepare accordingly.  We do recommend if you bring a marquee or are using clothes racks that you may want to bring some form of weight to hold them down as there are strong winds predicted – We do not supply them.

We are happy to announce that Sacred heart Mission will be leaving bins out at the end of each market to collection donations. So if you do not want take home stuff you didn’t sell they will take it for you!

We do have a few Marquees for rent if you want – $20 cash on the day, if you want to secure one please send through your request.

ADVICE TO STALLHOLDERS
  • Second Hand clothes sell well, however, we get a lot of stall holders wanting to sell clothes.  As a result, we will preference people that are either selling other things as well (eg household goods, books, vinyl, cameras, CD’s – anything that is interesting and second hand).
  • We do like to see hand made goods at The Fitzroy Market, however, as you will be selling near people that are selling second hand goods it is advisable that you try to sell smaller and less expensive items priced no higher than $50.
  • Don’t sell your good TOO cheaply! If you sell everything for $1 you will have to make a lot of sales to make back your stall hire fee and make a profit.
  • If you are looking for insurance, we can recommend Net Insure or My Market Insurance as a competitive option. We do not require insurance for our general stall holders at the market.
